Helping Families Navigate Care, Systems & Services With Confidence
Navigating disability services can be overwhelming. Families are often expected to understand healthcare systems, educational services, benefits, therapies, and community resources while simultaneously caring for their loved ones.
At First Vision Birth & Family Services, we believe families deserve more than a list of resources—they deserve support understanding how to use them.
Our Family & Disability Advocacy services provide compassionate education, resource navigation, and care coordination support for families navigating disability and complex systems. Our approach is family-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, appropriate care, and the opportunity to thrive.

How We Can Help
Disability Resource Navigation
Finding the right resources can be one of the most difficult parts of navigating disability. We help families identify and better understand community resources, support programs, benefits, and services that may be available to them.
Healthcare Advocacy
We help families prepare for healthcare appointments, organize questions and concerns, communicate effectively with providers, and become more confident participants in their loved one's care.

Care Coordination
When multiple providers, therapists, agencies, schools, and support systems are involved, keeping everything organized can become overwhelming. We help families identify their priorities, organize information, and develop a clearer plan for navigating their support network.
Medicaid & SSI Education
Understanding Medicaid, SSI, and other disability-related benefits can be complicated. We provide educational support to help families better understand eligibility, applications, renewals, documentation, and questions they may encounter while navigating these systems.
School & Therapy-System Navigation
Families may encounter many different professionals and systems when seeking developmental, educational, behavioral, occupational, or speech-related support. We help parents prepare for conversations, organize concerns, understand their options, and advocate for appropriate services.
Parent Advocacy Education
Our goal isn't to make families dependent on an advocate. It's to help parents become stronger advocates for themselves and their loved ones.
Through education and practical guidance, we help parents learn how to ask informed questions, document concerns, prepare for meetings, communicate with professionals, and navigate complex systems with greater confidence.
